Terms and Conditions
Last updated: June 2025 | Version 1.0
1. Agreement to Terms
By creating an account and using ManFlu Hotline ("the Service," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement. Have a lawyer review them if you have questions.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 years old. You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. The Service is not available where prohibited by law.
3. Account Creation & Identity Verification
You must provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration, including your full legal name, date of birth, email, phone number, country, and province or state. You must complete identity verification by uploading a valid government-issued photo ID and a selfie. Providing false identity information is grounds for immediate account suspension or termination. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
4. Subscription & Billing
The Service is provided on a monthly subscription basis. Subscription fees are charged automatically at the start of each billing cycle. All prices are in Canadian dollars. You authorize us to charge your selected payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable advance notice.
5. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard. Cancellation stops future charges. Access to the Service continues until the end of your paid billing period. No prorated refunds are issued for unused portions of a billing period unless required by law.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Harass, threaten, or harm others
- Share illegal content or promote illegal activity
- Impersonate another person
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems
- Abuse, exploit, or manipulate support staff or AI systems
- Share content that is defamatory, obscene, or violates third-party rights
- Circumvent safety or identity verification systems
7. No Emergency Reliance
The Service is not an emergency service. You must not rely on ManFlu Hotline in an emergency. If you or anyone else is in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency services immediately. For suicide crisis support in Canada, call or text 988.
8. No Medical Relationship
Use of the Service does not create a medical, therapeutic, or clinical relationship of any kind. ManFlu Hotline is not a healthcare provider. Nothing communicated through the Service constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek qualified professional medical care when needed.
9. No Therapist-Client Relationship
Use of the Service does not create a therapist-client, counsellor-client, or any professional mental health relationship. Human support, when available, is emotional support only and is not provided by licensed therapists unless explicitly stated otherwise.
10. No Legal Advice
Nothing in the Service or any communication through the Service constitutes legal advice. Do not rely on ManFlu Hotline for legal decisions. Consult a qualified lawyer.
11. AI Limitations
AI responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your specific situation. AI is not a substitute for professional care. Responses should not be interpreted as medical, psychological, psychiatric, or legal advice.
12. Human Support Limitations
Human support is a future feature subject to availability, scheduling, location, and compliance requirements. It is emotional support only. Human listeners are not licensed professionals unless explicitly stated. No guarantee is made about the effectiveness, availability, or suitability of human support for your needs.
13. Safety Escalation
Disclosure: If a member appears to be suicidal, at risk of serious self-harm, threatening harm to others, experiencing active abuse, reporting abuse of a child or vulnerable person, or facing imminent danger, ManFlu Hotline may contact emergency services, medical professionals, crisis responders, law enforcement, or other appropriate authorities where legally permitted or required. The goal is to protect life and safety. By using the Service, you acknowledge and consent to this policy.
14. User Responsibility
You are solely responsible for your own decisions, actions, and outcomes arising from use of the Service. You agree to seek qualified professional care when needed and not to rely solely on ManFlu Hotline for medical, psychiatric, legal, safety, or emergency decisions.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ManFlu Hotline and its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, agents, partners, technology providers, AI providers, and service providers are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages including but not limited to: harm, loss, injury, death, self-harm, harm to third parties, emotional distress, financial loss, relationship consequences, employment consequences, legal consequences, or any other outcome arising from use or misuse of the Service or reliance on any content provided.
16. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ManFlu Hotline and its related parties from any claims, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or violation of any third-party rights.
17. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violation of these Terms, abusive behavior, false identity, or any other reason at our sole discretion with or without notice. Upon termination, your access to the Service ends.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Province, Canada — to be confirmed by legal counsel]. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of [jurisdiction — to be confirmed by legal counsel].
19. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active members. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
