Safety & Crisis Policy

We take your safety seriously. This page explains how ManFlu Hotline handles crisis situations, safety escalation, and our clear limits as a support service.

What ManFlu Hotline Is Not

An emergency service (call 911)
A crisis or suicide hotline (call 988)
A medical service or provider
A licensed therapy or counselling service
A legal advice service
A service that can dispatch emergency responders
A replacement for a doctor or psychiatrist
A guarantee of safety or outcomes

Our Crisis Escalation Policy

Disclosure: If a member appears to be suicidal, at risk of serious self-harm, threatening harm to others, experiencing active abuse, reporting abuse of a child or vulnerable person, or facing imminent danger — ManFlu Hotline may contact emergency services, medical professionals, crisis responders, law enforcement, or other appropriate authorities where legally permitted or required. The goal is to protect life and safety.

Risk Detection

Our AI and support staff monitor for signals including suicidal ideation, threats of harm, abuse disclosures, overdose, and immediate danger.

Human Review

High-risk flags are immediately reviewed by trained support staff who assess and respond appropriately.

Escalation

Where life or safety is at risk, we may escalate to emergency services. Confidentiality is not absolute when safety is at stake.
